We are proud to be a supporter of social enterprise in Scotland.
There are over 6,000 social enterprises across the country, and they trade in many markets. Their profits of surpluses are reinvested back into their social and/or environmental purpose.
A great local example of a social enterprise is Wood RecyclAbility, which was set up in 1997 to provide practical work experience for people with additional support needs, through working with waste wood.
Over the last 23 years, the organisation has grown steadily, from 2 staff and 6 trainees in a small croft and outbuilding, to 10 staff and up to 32 trainees each day.
As our world begins to return to something resembling normality, we would like to encourage you all to help support these organisations.
